Atubolu can well imagine moving to Frankfurt -

Why this is important

Eintracht Frankfurt are facing a crucial phase as Kevin Trapp has announced his move to PSG. The loss of an experienced goalkeeper requires a quick and strategic decision to strengthen the position in the Bundesliga. Noah Atubolu, who played in Eintracht's youth ranks, could be a promising solution to fill the gap and at the same time bring back a talented homegrown player.

Background

Noah Atubolu, a 21-year-old goalkeeper, has had to line up behind Marc Flekken and Kaua Santos at SC Freiburg, which has severely limited his playing time. A move to Eintracht Frankfurt would not only advance his career, but also mean his return to a Bundesliga club where he already played in his youth. Atubolu is seen as a promising talent who has the potential to establish himself in the Bundesliga.

• Atubolu can easily imagine a move to Frankfurt - Kaua Santos is playing in the cup.

Eintracht Frankfurt took a long time looking for a new number 1, but now time is running out. Kevin Trapp has announced his move to PSG and will leave Eintracht in the winter. Eintracht now needs a new number 1 quickly who can fill the position for both the second half of the season and for the coming years. A possible candidate who moved to SC Freiburg in the summer is Noah Atubolu. The goalkeeper was with the Eintracht professionals last season and was also considered a talent there. But he didn't get the number 1 at SC Freiburg, but had to line up behind number 1 Marc Flekken and now the new number 1, who played in the cup, Kaua Santos. That means he barely had any playing time last season and this season, even though he is only 21 years old. But he would like to have more playing time and, according to information from 90min, is very interested in moving to Eintracht Frankfurt. The move would make sense for him as he could become the new number 1 there. But there is a small problem: SC Freiburg will demand a transfer fee for Atubolu that m may be too high for Eintracht. And since Eintracht now has to act quickly, it remains to be seen whether they can agree on the transfer fee with SC Freiburg. Another point that speaks for Atubolu is that he played in Eintracht's youth team. This means that a move to Eintracht would also make a lot of sense for him personally. The transfer fee that SC Freiburg is currently demanding is 1.5 million euros. It is currently uncertain whether Eintracht is prepared to spend so much money on a goalkeeper. While Atubolu plays in the cup, which is always number 2 for Freiburg, which plays in the cup, such as now Kaua Santos, who played in the cup, Atubolu will play in the national cup on Wednesday, with his old club, FC Schönau. There he will play in the national cup, and that is another sign of how much he wants to have match practice.

What happens next

Eintracht Frankfurt must now quickly begin negotiations with SC Freiburg in order to reach an agreement on the transfer fee for Noah Atubolu. With time of the essence, a quick transfer could be crucial to signing Atubolu in time for the second half of the season. If the change comes about, Atubolu could become Eintracht's new number 1 and thus take on a central role in the Bundesliga team.
