Celtic extend contract with Oxlade-Chamberlain: Englishman stays until June 2027

Celtic have extended the contract of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who will continue to wear the Scottish champions' jersey next season. The England midfielder has signed a new one-year contract that extends his stay in Glasgow until 2027. Oxlade-Chamberlain arrived at Celtic in February and captured the hearts of fans. His debut was a dream start: he decided the game against Livingston with a great goal in stoppage time and secured his team victory in front of the Celtic Park crowd. At the end of last season, the 32-year-old made a significant contribution to winning the domestic double, making a total of 12 appearances and scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 home win against St Mirren. Celtic will now begin their summer pre-season with a tour that begins with a first stop in Ireland, where they will face Shelbourne in the first friendly before heading to Portugal for their usual training camp. Oxlade-Chamberlain will join his teammates during this phase in order to optimally prepare for the new season. The midfielder expressed his delight at signing the contract: "I'm over the moon to be staying at Celtic for another season. Last year was incredible and helping to win the league and Scottish Cup was really special.
