Empoli: Future challenges and squad planning
Empoli is preparing for the new season. Coach Fabio Caserta's situation is unclear, while the club is already eyeing potential new additions.
In the first days of June, Empoli has many questions that need to be clarified with a view to the coming season. The position of coach Fabio Caserta is particularly important as he could possibly extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season.
However, the Tuscan team is also looking for new talent and is pursuing various promising players from Serie C. These include Antonio Buscé, who has already worked at youth level, as well as Pietro De Giorgio, Vinicio Edwards Espinal and Emanuele Troise.

Once the coaching question has been decided, the focus will be on the squad, with the philosophy of being competitive while promoting talent from their own youth and lower leagues. An example of this is Luigi Caccavo, a 19-year-old striker who scored 11 goals for Lumezzane last season.
Other names on sporting director Stefanelli's list include Giacomo Olzer, who is leaving Pescara, and Mehdi Dorval, who is expected to leave Bari after returning to Serie C. The club also plans to keep the young attacker Bohdan Popov, who is attracting interest in Italy, but also in Germany and France.
Numerous players will leave the club as their loan contracts end, but the club hopes to keep some of them: including Cremonese goalkeeper Fulignati, Salernitana defender Lovato and Juventus winger Moruzzi. Players like Fila, Nasti, Ilie, Obaretin, Ghion and Candela, however, will return to their respective clubs and then have to decide what to do next season.
