Guido Angelozzi ends contract with Cagliari – future at Lecce or Cremonese?
Guido Angelozzi has ended his contract with Cagliari. Lecce and Cremonese show interest in the former sports director.
Guido Angelozzi officially ended his contract with Cagliari Calcio today. After a year in Sardinia, where he moved from Frosinone, the Catanese sports director is now back on the market and is already being courted by several clubs. In Serie A, Lecce is showing interest after the club said farewell to Pantaleo Corvino this week after four consecutive relegations. Cremonese is also interested in Angelozzi in Serie B after they lost to Lecce in the last duel to stay in the league and are now looking for a new sports director. Angelozzi has not yet commented on his future. The Cremonese is also examining alternative candidates for the coming transfer period, including Paolo Bravo, the former sports director of Sudtirol, who ended his successful time in Bolzano after relegation in the play-outs. Other names on the list include Ciro Polito, who is close to promotion to Serie A with the Catanzaro, and Davide Vagnati, who enjoyed a long career at Torino. In the afternoon, Cagliari said goodbye to Angelozzi with the following statement: "Cagliari Calcio announces that the professional relationship with sports director Guido Angelozzi has been terminated. The club would like to thank him for the work he has done during his term of office and wishes him much success for his professional future." For Angelozzi, the focus is on Pietro Accardi, a former long-time employee at Empoli
last worked at Sampdoria.
