Seyed Cyrus Pourmousavi, the coach of Industrie Naft Abadan, spoke about his team's challenges after the win against Aluminum Arak in the first game after the dismissal of Mohammad Noori. The team has responded to the new coaching era with a motivating start and hopes to distance itself from the relegation zone in the coming weeks. The win against Aluminum was important not only to raise morale, but also to send a sign of stability. "I didn't think my first game on the bench would end in a win. However, the main part of this success belongs to the players. They played with enormous effort and passion and their willingness to run was admirable. We didn't have much time to practice tactical things before the game; it was mainly about strengthening the players' psyche," said Pourmousavi. When asked about the opponent Aluminum Arak, considered one of the stronger teams in the league, he said: "Aluminum is a good team with strong quality and the coach Payam Ghorbani has built a solid team. This defeat does not diminish their values. Given our position in the table, it was necessary to win this home game and we managed to do that." Pourmousavi also spoke about the challenges that awaited him before taking over the coaching position. "I was already an option for Industrie Naft before the start of the season, but for various reasons I couldn't come straight away. I wasn't the first choice for the job and was only selected after discussions with other coaches. When I received the offer, I also had to take into account the financial problems. If the players' salaries are not paid, it affects their mental state and the way the coach works. Especially when the team is at the bottom of the table," he explained. He added that the clubs' management has promised to resolve the financial difficulties quickly: "The club management must really stand by the players and the players should feel that they are supported by the club." When asked whether new players could be signed, he replied: "At the moment we have no opportunity to sign new players and I doubt that there will be anyone who can help us at this stage. Our focus is on improving the team tactically and increasing the fitness of the players. We can then look specifically for reinforcements in the winter." Pourmousavi also stressed that his team is not thinking about relegation: "We are not thinking about relegation. I told the players that they have to fight until week 34 and we must not be discouraged. The fans expect us to fight and make them happy." Regarding the upcoming game against Traktor in Tabriz, he said: "It will certainly be a difficult game. It is never easy to play in Tabriz in front of the Traktor fans. But we also have our own motivations and we want to get points there. We will definitely not come as an overwhelmed team and will do our best to get a positive result."

What happens next
