Gattuso already in Formello, but Lazio cannot announce him yet: this is how it will happen

The new era of Lazio has already begun, even if no official announcements or the traditional presentation images have been published yet. Gennaro Gattuso is active in Formello, where he is working on planning the coming season together with the club management. The former coach of the national team has already arranged his exit modalities from the FIGC and terminated his contract with the association. However, the situation of his employees is different: They have not yet formally terminated their respective contracts and, provided there are no early terminations, will remain under contract until June 30th. The understanding between Gattuso and Lazio has existed for some time and all the necessary documents have already been prepared. However, for regulatory reasons, the club cannot submit the contract of the new coach and his four staff members until July 1, which coincides with the start of the 2026-27 season. In the meantime, the Calabrian coach is working behind the scenes, with his main focus on organizing preparation. Barring any surprises, summer training is expected to take place entirely at the Formello sports center, which is set to become the headquarters of the new Lazio under Gattuso.
