The Football Confederation of North and Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) has issued a statement rejecting FIFA's proposal to sell shares in the World Cup rights to private investors. "CONCACAF is a confederation formed by the love of our sport, where football is above all else. Based on this philosophy, over the last ten years we have built from the ground up an organization characterized by service, transparent management and long-term responsibility for football. That is why today CONCACAF has held a meeting of 41 Presidents Member Associations, as well as their President, the members of the Council and the FIFA Council, to discuss the offer proposed and developed by the President of FIFA, which envisages the creation of a FIFA Forward Enterprise and the sale of shares in the World Cup to private investors.
